The Influence of Business on Feminist marches in Mexico

As an introduction: The feminism is consider the belief that womens should be allowed the same rights, power and opportunites as men and be trated like they are no matter how they are and how they think. 

Now at days the outrage and the anger at the increase in feminicides and the constant gender-based violence against woman in Mexico, has caused principally a series of protests in Mexico City. One of the best known events were the day March 9 th of 2020 when they decide that no women moves in all this day. For them it was a silent protest to make belief that was the beginning of a fight for respect for their freedom. 

As the tittle says, many mexican and foreing companies have decided to join to the movement of that day to support the protest allowing their female staff participate on the silent protest. 

That companies that recognize the protest and support the day are:

  • Walmart Mexico 
This company help the event with more than 108,000 female staff, and they expressed as a phrase that says: "We suport, without reservation initiative that seek to eliminate violence or other actions that affect the integrity and dignity of women in particular and all the individuals in general".

  •  Nemak 
The company comunicated that they rejected any manifestation of violence for which they allowed their employess to participate in the organized movement an they colaborators toa attend wearing a purple garment as a simbol of rejection of violence.   

  • The automotive: "Ford"
The automotive send a mesage about how they join to the initiative: "We are a community in which we choose the people first, trust, respect and care for each other where we do the right thing, foster safe and inclusive work environments that promote the freedom to be ourselves and work". 


In conclusion we have to recognize that it was a movement dedicated to the freedom of decision women and to being trated, and without the support of all the media, and also the companies that colaborated, this point would not have been strenghead. By the other side we need to be consious abut this big social problem.

We could define exactly that Ethics means the philosophy study of the right way of moral and the wrong one, good or bad morals, and principles or values. Also, it could be related to beliefs and theories in which regions, cultures, and other groups are studied by Ethics.
